For the treatment of hypertension (Adults):
As a monotherapy, consider an initial daily dose of 10-20 mg of Quinapril hydrochloride. The dosage can be adjusted in accordance with the requirement. The dosage can be increased up to 80 mg/day in divided doses.
As a concomitant therapy with diuretics (Adults):
Start with an initial dose of 5 mg. After three days of therapy, the diuretics should be stopped.
For treatment of heart failure (Adults):
As an adjunctive therapy with diuretics or digitalis, consider administration of 5 mg of Quinapril hydrochloride, twice daily. The dosage can be increased up to 20-40 mg in two divided doses.
