Sulfamoxole information from DrugsUpdate
L - Contraindicated in lactation
Sulfamoxole is a sulfonamide antibacterial.
Nausea, vomitting, diarrhoea, hypersensitivity skin reaction, hypothyrodism, crystalluria, renal imapirment, blood dyscrasias, kernicterus in premature neonates. Stevens- Johnson syndrome. Agranulocytosis & aplastic anaemia.
Renal insufficiency, elderly, blood dyscrasias, G8PD deficiency, AIDS
Concurrent use may increase phenytoin & methotrexate levels; increased risk of bleeding with warafin & acenocoumarol; may potentiates antidiabetic effects of sulfonylureas. Increased risk of blood dyscrasias with clozapine & pyrimethamine.

Sensitivity to sulfonimides, severe renal or hepatic impairment, porphyria, SLE ifants <2months; pregnancy (3rd trimester), lactation.
