Factor VIII injection, a synthetic form of factor VIII, is indicated for the treatment and prevention of hemophilia A due to factor VIII deficiency. Factor VIII deficiency may lead to bleeding risk in patients who undergo surgery or after injury. Factor VIII should not be used to treat von Willebrand disease.
