Hydrogen peroxide, a local anti-infective and anti-septic preparation, is used for the treatment of acute stomatitis, removal of ear wax and for wound cleansing in dermatological disorders. Hydrogen peroxide possesses anti-viral activity and deodorant properties.


As an oxidising agent, Hydrogen peroxide neutralizes the microbial activity. The effervescence property of Hydrogen peroxide is due to interaction with tissue catalase and release of carbon dioxide and water.

For removal of earwax (Adults):

For Wound cleansing (Adults):
Use 6% Hydrogen peroxide solution or 1-1.5% Hydrogen peroxide cream
