Ubiquinone, a dietary supplement, is used to prevent congestive heart failure, type-2 diabetes and gum diseases. Also called as Coenzyme Q-10, Ubiquinone is also prescribed to replace statin-associated Ubiquinone deficiency. However, Ubiquinone is not approved by USFDA for treatment of any diseases/disorders.
Ubiquinone is contraindicated in patients with platelet disorders, allergy to plant products and diabetes.
